ReString 2025 ReCap

What a year. 2025 pushed us, challenged us, and honestly became our biggest year yet at ReString.

From launching our first recycled polyester string to supporting players at Grand Slams, this year marked major milestones for our brand and community.

Here's a look back at the moments, innovations, and breakthroughs that defined 2025.

New Year, New Gear

We kicked things off strong with something you'd all been asking for: The ReString Duffle. This was our first real step into tennis gear and a huge change for us.

Crafted from recycled polyester with a premium two-tone grey design, the Duffle fits up to four rackets, features a removable center divider for customizable organization, and includes a dedicated shoe compartment to keep your dirty footwear separate from your valuable equipment.

Built to last, weather-resistant, and sustainably made. Everything ReString stands for, now in bag form.

Connecting With the Community

February took us to Florida, where we got to meet so many of you face-to-face.

After years of building relationships online, these in-person connections reminded us why we started ReString in the first place. Your feedback, your stories, and your passion for the game fuel everything we do.

Vivo Changes Everything

March changed everything.

We officially launched Vivo, our first string made entirely from recycled-based polyester. This was a massive innovation for us, and the positive feedback and playtest results have been unreal.

Vivo didn't happen overnight though. We'd been developing this string for years, refining the formula until it delivered genuine performance without compromise. With this launch, ReString came full circle on our sustainability promise.

We've always prided ourselves on being an environmentally conscious brand. But until Vivo, we didn't have a product that fully backed up that commitment. Now we do.

Vivo strengthened our position as a leader in both innovative tennis strings and strings built for a better planet.

The independent reviews validated everything we hoped for. Tennisnerd's Jonas reported "astounding" tension maintenance and placed Vivo among his top recommended strings, comparing it favorably to Head Lynx Tour.

We deliberately didn't tell him Vivo was made from recycled materials until after his playtest. His reaction when we revealed the sustainable construction confirmed what we already knew: recycled materials can produce top-tier performance without compromise.

Racketpedia's independent testing delivered even more validation. Vivo scored a perfect 100 out of 100 for tension holding, 48 points above the average string. It earned 95 out of 100 for spin potential and 90 out of 100 for control.

Industry-leading results from an eco-friendly string. That's something we're incredibly proud of.

On Tour With Cristina Busca

March also meant Indian Wells.

We supported Cristina Bucsa on court, followed immediately by her Miami Open finals run. A doubles title came the week after that.

Watching our strings perform at that level never gets old. Cristina's Zero x Sync hybrid setup proved itself against the best players in the world, and we couldn't be prouder to support her journey.

Content Like Never Before

From photo shoots to new campaigns to building out our storytelling, this year we created more content than ever.

Every Monday, we showed up with String Talk on Instagram: deep dives, nerdy bits, and everything you love about understanding your gear. Twenty-five episodes later, we're grateful for everyone who tuned in, learned with us, debated, and nerded out alongside the ReString community.

Summer on the Road

Summer took us to Mallorca, the French Open, and then Wimbledon.

Cristina reached the third round at the All England Club for the very first time. Being there for that moment was so special. Watching her dominate No. 22 seed Donna Vekic 6-1, 6-3 in the second round, witnessing a player you support achieve new heights at the most prestigious tournament in tennis. We won't forget it.

Back in the US, I joined the hitting partner team at the Citi Open for my fourth year. I trained with players including Zizou Bergs, Maya Joint, and Anna Kalinskaya before her final.

We spent August in Cincinnati supporting coaches on tour. These experiences deepened our understanding of what players and their teams need from their equipment.

Three Years of ReString

September marked ReString turning three.

Just days later, Cristina reached the fourth round of the US Open, her first second week at a Slam. What a way to celebrate our birthday.

The SLAP Collab

October brought our first collaboration ever: ReString × Valldoreix SLAP.

It started with an Instagram message. Julio from Valldoreix saw my post playing tennis at Georgetown courts in DC, the city where he'd gone to college. We connected, hit the courts together, and conversations naturally shifted toward doing something together.

A year in the making, the collaboration produced The "SLAP" String in a midnight black colorway and The "SLAP" Hoodie, our first merch drop ever. The all-black packaging broke from our typical white sleeves, making the limited edition nature immediately obvious. And the community feedback has been some of the best we've ever received.

Working with Valldoreix allowed us to bridge tennis culture and innovation, reaching new customers while staying true to what makes ReString different.

Looking Ahead To 2026

Now with 2025 behind us, all we can say is thank you.

Your support, your trust, your messages. They're the reason we get to keep building in 2026. Every order, every review, every conversation on Instagram pushes us to do better.

We're just getting started. Bigger ideas, bigger innovation, and we want you with us every step of the way.

Here's to the ReString community and here's to another year of performance reimagined.
