ReString Slap Joins the Permanent Lineup

What started as a limited edition collaboration is now a permanent part of the ReString range.

Slap is a hexagonal co-polyester string built off the same DNA as Zero, delivering spin, power, and snapback with an added layer of control and a softer feel at contact.

The string launches March 12th 2026, at 7PM EST in 16G and 17G, and is available as a single set, bundle of 5, and 200m reel.

From Collaboration to Core Lineup

Slap originally launched in November 2025 as a collaboration between ReString and Valldoreix.

That release was limited to a single gauge in a midnight black colorway with co-branded packaging.

Players loved the performance profile and kept asking for it after the limited run sold through. Rather than leave it as a one-off, we decided to bring Slap back for good with more optionality.

The permanent version drops the limited edition branding and is fully integrated into the ReString lineup. The black packaging stays, but now updated to match the design language of our existing range.

How Does ReString Slap Play?

Slap shares a similar base formula as Zero. It carries the same hexagonal shape, the same Signature Snapback coating, and the same core characteristics that make Zero our most popular string.

From that foundation, we adjusted the formula to dial back some of Zero's raw power in exchange for better precision and a more plush feel at contact.

Players who find Zero a little too explosive and Sync a little too reserved now have a string built for that middle ground, although Slap leans more towards Zero on that spectrum.

What's New from the Collaboration?

The permanent release expands Slap from one gauge to two, adds a 200m reel option, and brings updated packaging.

The original 17G (1.23mm) offers more bite and feel for players who want maximum spin access, while the new 16G (1.28mm) provides added durability and a slightly firmer response for players.

Both gauges carry ReString's Signature Snapback coating and the recommended tension range is 43 to 55 lbs. As with all our string, we recommend stringing 2 lbs lower than your usual setup.

Slap is packaged responsibly using FSC sourced biodegradable and recycled paper material, and 100% of carbon emissions are certified offset.

Slap works as a full bed or as part of a hybrid setup using another string in the ReString lineup.
